About Manpreet

I am currently completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at City University of Seattle and have experience supporting individuals and families through community counselling and social service settings.

My experience has included supporting clients navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship and family conflict, grief and loss, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, stress, and challenges connected to family systems and community supports.

I've always valued meaningful conversations and genuine human connection, which is a big part of what drew me toward counselling work. I believe therapy should be a space where people feel heard, respected, and safe enough to explore what they're carrying at their own pace.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approaches. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand emotional patterns, improve communication, build coping strategies, and create meaningful change in ways that feel realistic and manageable.

If you've been carrying things on your own and want a warm, supportive space to be understood — I'd be honoured to meet you.

Methods

Therapeutic approaches

The evidence-based frameworks Manpreet draws from — chosen to fit you, not the other way around.

Person-Centred Therapy

Client-led therapy that creates a non-judgmental space for self-understanding and growth at your own pace.

Narrative Therapy

Separates the person from the problem, helping you rewrite limiting stories about yourself.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Recognises how past trauma shapes present nervous-system responses, pacing the work so it never re-overwhelms.

Strengths-Based Approach

Starts from what's already working in your life — resilience, resources, values — and builds change from there.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Goal-directed approach that builds on your existing strengths and resources to move toward clear, near-term change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Cultivates present-moment awareness to reduce reactivity and build emotional resilience.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Strengthens emotional bonds in relationships by exploring attachment needs and communication cycles.

Attachment-Based Therapy

Uses attachment science to understand how early bonds shape adult relationships and emotional patterns.

Client Voices

What clients say about working with Manpreet

Anxiety, Depression & Stress
Manpreet helped me find strength I didn't realize I still had. I came in feeling confused, silenced, and emotionally drained from a toxic relationship. With her support, I learned to trust my own voice, recognize manipulation, and take steps toward protecting my peace.

Couples & Family
Working with Manpreet felt safe, real, and culturally understanding. She helped me unpack toxic family patterns in a South Asian home without making me feel guilty or judged. I learned how to set boundaries while still honouring my values and caring for my family in a healthier way.

Couples & Family
We started counselling because we were stuck in constant conflict and didn't know how to hear each other anymore. Manpreet gave us tools to communicate more clearly, slow down during arguments, and better understand how each person's mental health was impacting the relationship. Our conversations feel calmer, more respectful, and more connected now.
