Starting therapy — what to expect
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people seek therapy when they are feeling emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling in relationships, or having difficulty coping with stress, grief, trauma, or life changes.
At Wellness Talks Health Centre, our Vancouver counsellors support clients with:
- Anxiety and stress
- Relationship and couples concerns
- Family support
- Parent–child / teen relationships
- Adolescent and teen counselling
- Burnout and emotional exhaustion
- Trauma and PTSD
- ICBC-related mental health recovery
- Self-esteem and emotional regulation
- Cultural identity and family pressures
- Depression and emotional overwhelm
Counselling can help you better understand yourself, improve communication, strengthen coping strategies, and feel more emotionally grounded in your day-to-day life.
If your mental health, relationships, work, or overall well-being have been impacted, counselling may be helpful.
